Adopt a Family for the Holidays

How Adopt a Family Works

If you would like to receive gifts:

Please submit the form below, or pick up a Wish List form at our office. Forms must be submitted online or in person by December 8th. We’ll contact you when the gifts are ready.

We cross-check with other charities, churches, and First Nations offices to avoid duplication.

If you would like to donate gifts:

Please let us know what size family you can support by emailing info@cnha.ca, and we will send you a list of the family's wishes.

If you prefer providing gift cards, we will match you with a family that has requested gift cards.

If you are providing gifts, please drop off the gifts no later than December 19th at 9806 Willow St, Chemainus (across from the Waterwheel).

We are open Monday to Friday between 9 am and 3 pm.  Outside of those hours, please give us a call at 250-607-1377 or 250-709-1086. If you leave a message or text us, we will get back to you.

Other Ways You Can Help

By donating items towards the general Holiday programme, which includes our very popular Free Holiday Gift Shop. We accept donations of new or gently used items, such as toys, clothing, small household items, and holiday decorations.

You can also donate online at CanadaHelps or by clicking on the “DONATE” button on our website.

We accept cash donations and cheques written out to Cowichan Neighbourhood House Association.

Tax receipts for financial donations are mailed out at the end of February of each year.

Please pass this message on to your family, friends, and coworkers. It is only through the 100’s of small acts of kindness that we accomplish our goal!

Follow us on Facebook for more updates!

Last year, Cowichan Neighbourhood House helped over 100 families, or over 400 individuals, in the Cowichan/Chemainus areas!

You can make a difference in the lives of people in your own community!
