Free Community Dinners
The Neighbourhood House holds many seasonal events, such as Halloween activities and community dinners. Depending on volunteer availability, we hold community dinners on Thanksgiving, Christmas, and Easter. Dinners are pot luck, but you do not have to bring anything. We sometimes hold special themed events, such as St. Patrick’s Day or 50’s Day. Everyone is welcome, and there are often activities and music. Some of the food is prepared in advance by participants in our ‘Youth Cooking’ classes, ‘Canning Classes’, and ‘Eat Well on a Limited Budget’.
