Tenant Rights & Responsibilities

“Ready to Rent” is a free 6 week training course that looks great on any application to Landlords and even potential Employers. Learn tenant rights and responsibilities, and very useful skills, such as how to resolve disputes with a landlord. Successful students will also receive a certificate that they can show potential landlords (full attendance is required).

We can provide some assistance, such bus fare and ferry tickets. We will also try to arrange baby sitting on location at the Fire Hall.

*Pre-registration and full attendance is required.

When: Wednesday evenings 6:30 to 8:30, starting Feb 4 (6 weeks in total)

Where: Old Chemainus Fire Hall, 9796 Willow St., Chemainus, BC (Cowichan Neighbourhood House)

Registration: Drop by the Old Fire Hall or email cnhaoffice(at) with your name, contact info, and what course you are interested in registering. There will be a registration form and a follow up confirmation. Please let us know if you need child care or bus/ferry tickets.
